Sometimes in your life, there are little moments when your work life and your personal life collide. No, I did not get random people sending me Rubber Duckies (see the previous blog post regarding Rubber Ducks). Today was one of those moments.
Now for those who don’t know, I work as a childhood injury prevention coordinator at a local hospital. Our whole purpose is to eventually put ourselves out of business by trying to make children safer. One of the areas of research that we fund is all about Traumatic Brain Injury or TBI for short.
So imagine my surprise when I came accross the following abstract this morning: Traumatic brain injuries in illustrated literature: experience from a series of over 700 head injuries in the Asterix comic books.
Naturally, I was curious. It’s an interesting and short read if you are as well. I’m more surprised that the doctors in Dusseldorf not only got this abstract approved, but published.
